Aleksandra (Ola) joined the Paediatric Oncology Group in the Division of Cancer Therapeutics after working as a Higher Scientific Officer at the Cancer Research UK, Clare Hall Laboratories. Under the supervision of Dr Chris Jones, she completed her PhD in childhood cancers in 2011.
Completion date: PhD 2010, Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology 2013
Dr Yap undertook a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology in the Division of Cancer Therapeutics from February 2007 to August 2010. As a Medical Oncology Specialist Registrar, he also undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research, which he completed in October 2013.

Dr Susana Banerjee completed her PhD and second year of her Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology at the ICR, and is now a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Royal Marsden. She continues her research collaborating with the ICR and is the lead for clinical and translational trials in gynaecological cancers.

Elizabeth conducted her PhD at The Institute of Cancer Research under the supervision of Professor Alan Ashworth. Within the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre, she studied how hormone-sensitive breast cancer can become resistant to therapy and frequently accessed the expertise of various ICR research teams in order to do so.

Katharine graduated with her MSc in Oncology and currently works as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Marsden, while carrying out her MD(Res) at the ICR. Her research centres on planning three-dimensional radiotherapy treatment for patients with metastases in hard-to-treat areas of the body.
