Education policies and strategies

We have a number of policies and strategies in place at The Institute of Cancer Research to ensure we deliver a high quality education to all our students.

Our Learning and Teaching Strategy sets out our priorities and principles for educating and training the next generation of cancer researchers and clinicians. This is supported by key policies and procedures related to quality assurance, which are available to download below.

Quality Assurance is the process by which the quality of postgraduate research and taught course provision at The Institute of Cancer Research is assured and enhanced.

The ICR's academic board reports to the executive strategy board upon all academic and teaching matters and questions of education policy. It ensures that The Institute of Cancer Research, as a member institution of the University of London, has a rigorous and responsive quality assurance framework in place, and develops and delivers the Learning and Teaching Strategy.

The quality of our taught course provisions and of our postgraduate research is underpinned by the Office for Students, which guides higher education institutions in monitoring and improving the quality of their provision and support for students.
