Biography
Dr Okines studied pharamacology as the University of Sheffield where her interests in cancer therapeutics began. Her medical training was also undertaken at UoS. During her oncology training at The Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research she completed an MD(Res) were she evaluated targeted agents in combination with chemotherapy regimens in advanced oesophago-gastric cancer.
Dr Okines was appointed as a team leader for the Breast Cancer Systemic Therapy Trials team in June 2018 and currently is the co-lead for the Royal Marsden’s Acute Oncology service in Chelsea.
