Proteomics and Metabolomics Core Facility

The Proteomics and Metabolomics Core Facility provides a state-of-the-art, proteomics-oriented mass spectrometry service for The Institute of Cancer Research. The service uses an Agilent 1200 Nano liquid chromatography machine coupled to a Velos Orbitrap mass spectrometer for high sensitivity analysis of simple protein mixtures (1–100 proteins).

Almost every analysis is tailored to the individual experiment. Employees within the Proteomics and Metabolomics Core Facility will discuss a researcher’s requirements and help to design the experiments, before performing the proteomic chemistries, mass spectrometry and data analysis. Finally, the facility will describe the final results to publication standards in a formal report.
